Driven by a shared commitment to protecting and restoring biodiversity, Terracene brings together diverse expertise across political science, communications, marine biology, science diplomacy, cultural management, international cultural relations, engineering, non-governmental action, and gender studies.
Our rich diversity of professional and multi-cultural backgrounds reflects TERRACENE’s conviction that addressing the global biodiversity crisis requires interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-sector dialogue. By combining global perspectives with local experience, the team works to connect research, innovation, and philanthropy, while fostering partnerships that translate knowledge into effective action.

Joanne Schanté
General Secretary
Joanne has 20 years of experience managing cross-cultural teams and developing sustainable innovation projects, in particular focused on Nature-based Solutions and biodiversity since 2018. Joanne is trained as a certified sylvotherapist. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Masters in Engineering from the Institut Mines Telecom.

Sidonie Harris
Senior Project Manager
Sidonie holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and an M.S. in Marine Biology, bringing valuable experience in communications and project management. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to navigate the complexities of biodiversity-focused, EU-funded projects and drive their development toward meaningful, measurable outcomes.

Giulia Bussoletti
Project Manager & Strategist
As a Project Manager and Strategist with a policy background, Giulia brings strong analytical tools to deliver Horizon Europe and other sustainability-focused projects, from socio-economic impact assessments and participatory processes to policy brief drafting, with experience spanning biodiversity, climate resilience and adaptation, circular economy, and overall nature-positive approaches.

Natalia Brack
Communication Officer
As a Communications officer with over 15 years of professional experience, Natalia brings strong interdisciplinary expertise to communication and dissemination activities for Horizon Europe and other EU-funded projects. With a background in political science and cultural management, she applies creative tools to shape multilingual content, awareness-raising campaigns, and networking actions. Her experience across international projects allows her to guide communication work toward accessible, engaging, and measurable outcomes.
